In spite of what would seem like insurmountable obstacles, strategically placed in her path by nefarious individuals and 'family' members, Allyson Newell was successful in obtaining her most highly sought-after goals; education, career, artist, and author.
Educated in Southern California, beginning in 1979, Newell completed her education in 1986 with a Master's Degree from Redlands University, Redlands, California.
Initially studying the Biological Sciences, Newell later changed her studies to Nursing, where she developed a rewarding career that spanned nearly twenty years. Newell's love of music, art, and writing was expressed in playing guitar, oil painting, creating one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces, and working as a journalist for the local newspaper.
It was while reporting for the newspaper that she had her first insight into the rampant corruption and political maleficence that 'ruled' this rural community. The corruption and maleficence became personal when it was discovered that the 'Town' was poisoning Newell and her neighbors. The long-elusive book topic was now clear and the only media that might possibly slip past the tightly woven web that kept the corruption local.

Life is definitely like a Carousel ride; Ups, downs, stops, and starts. A couple of clichés come to mind, when I think of a Carousel ride; going around in circles, chasing your tail, or coming full-circle. It has always been my belief that life is the kind of ride we make it. If your life is like a carousel and the ride gets too rough, just get on a bigger horse. If life tires you too much, and you think you can't continue, sit down on one of the bench rides, and catch your breath. We can see life's carousel ride as a pleasant experience, after all, the ride does have music, or we can see it as just another inconvenience. Like life, the carousel continues to go around. And, like the carousel, life goes around in a circle to complete itself and renew once again.
